Dan and Caitlin's story began 8 years ago at the wedding of their friends, Chelsey (Caitlin's friend from grade school) and Jake Thomas (Dan's college roommate). At the time Caitlin had just returned from Nicaragua, where she had been working as a volcano hiking guide. And Dan had just moved back to Cincinnati after living in Colorado, filming skiing and traveling with friends Nick and Robin. The two quickly bonded over their shared love for adventure. During the wedding weekend Dan had his hanging tree tent set up and was lighting up the dance floor, and Caitlin approached him with her best pick up lines and the rest is history! The next weekend Dan drove up to Fort Wayne to take Caitlin on their first official date. After a few months of long-distance dating, Caitlin found a job and apartment in Cincinnati and made the move south to be closer to Dan. Since then, their life together has been full of adventures. They bought a house together in 2021 and a puppy named Gobi in 2022. They have loved fixing up their house, traveling to new places, skiing, hiking, camping attending music festivals, cooking together, hosting dinners and parties. Most of all they love spending time with family and friends - and they cannot wait to celebrate with you this September!
